My granddad was John Joseph MANNION of Clookeen
I have found the births of his siblings but would love more information
His parents were Andrew MANNION 1838-1894 & Brigid McDERMOTT ?- before 1894
They married Feb 21 1870
Their children that I have found so far are:
1: James 1871-1894
2:
Mary Anne 1872-? most likely before 1879* 3:
Honor 1874-? 4: Patrick 1875-1894
5: Michael 1877- between 1901-1911
6:
Mary Anne *(2) 1879- after 1901 7: John Joseph 1881-1871
8:
Eleanor 1882-? 9: Andrew 1885-1915
10: Brigid 1886-? Sometime in the 1950s or 60s in UK; she became a nurse
Family in 1901 at family farm Grandad with his youngest sister in 1911 His brother Andrew is listed in Manchester in 1911
Michael married Honor (Nora) O'DONNELL Apr 18 1903; they has a son James in 1904 who died unmarried in Lousiburg Co. Mayo
Norah Mannion in 1911 and
their son James in 1911 I cannot find a death for Michael anywhere; I had been told he disappeared in Loughglynn Woods after being followed in there by the Black & Tans but his wife describes herself as a widow in 1911 which does not add up.
I would love any help or information on the family
Grandad's father Andrew and his brothers James and Patrick died with three week in May/June 1894 when he was 13; his father was already a widower which left him with at least his siblings Michael then 17, Mary Anne 15 and Brigid 8
Possibly Honor and Eleanor who do not appear on the 1901 census had also died, maybe they married or emigrated but I cannot find them any where; but I can understand why Grandad never spoke of his family of whom at least eight had died more than 50 years before himself.
