Simcox/Holloway - Alveley Shropshire
« on: Sunday 29 July 12 08:16 BST (UK) »
Hi there,
I have been doing some research into a family that lived in my childhood house - 58/9 Alveley
Louisa Simcox ( nee Holloway) was born in Alveley, Shropshire in 1871.
She married John Simcox (b 1862) in West Browmwich in 1892 and moved to Gosport ( john was a rifleman)
By the early 1900's they had returned to Alveley with their 4 children George, Louisa, Arthur & Charles
Sadly little Charles died in 1907, closely followed by his father John Simcox in 1910

In 1911 Louisa is recorded as a widow living at Alveley with her three children George (b 1893), Arthur John (b 1901) and Louisa (b 1898)
George (b 1893) married local girl Lilian Link and later moved to Liverpool.....but I can find no trace of his mother Louisa or the two younger children Arthur and Louisa ??...any help would be very much appreciated....

Hi

I couldn't find a death for Louisa, but this maybe worth consideration...

FreeBMD:
Q3 1929 John T Cooke & Louisa Simcox, West Bromwich, mar. V 6b, P 2188.
Though it could be her daughter Louisa b. 1898.
