Heard of L.C.& M.Bank, Carmarthen Branch?
« on: Sunday 29 July 12 19:06 BST (UK) »
Hi - am doing some research into a Narberth W.W.1 casualty who was said in a newspaper article to have worked for the Carmarthen Branch of the L.C. & M. Bank before enlisting.

Does anyone know anything about where the bank was at all?

It looks like it was the London City and Midland bank,  later the Midland Bank,  then H S * C.
chances are it was where  HS*C is now, but I,m not local so dont know where that is

Looking at a directory for 1918 in Historicaldirectories.org - this suggests the LCM bank was at 19 Lammas Street

Current HSBC is at no 15!

Thanks both - all very informative - I knew you'd come up trumps here.

Just been googling and Roderick Price is now at 19 Lammas St.  However number 18 on the opposite corner was the old listed Midland Bank (now John Francis).
