www.canada411.ca

has 7 listings for Perrey in British Columbia, all with phone numbers, some with mailing addresses. I would be tempted to send off some letters by post to see if some of these are descendants of your Arthur or William Perrey. Two listings are for Comox and that is where the mother Jane is buried.

and still the wonderful details come. I do not like to ask you but Arthur's wife Eliza Henrietta Perrey should have been Arthur's 2nd wife. He should have married a Lille (Lily) Chitterdon ( This could be spelt a few different ways like Chitterden) He and Jane Perrey (mum) took Lille back from Kent in 1906. I have  looked on ancestry CA as a paid member, but found no trace of a marriage.
Thanks again for all this wonderful information ivor

At the site that I gave you for the census information, you can view the original documents through the split view/screen options.

The 1911 census that I gave you also has at the same address as Arthur and Jane
Eliza H. Chittenden, female, lodger, single, b. Mar 1870, age 41, imm 1908?

so I think this is the same person that I found the death for and perhaps Lillie was her everyday name.

Another lodger at this address is
Gerald Fitzgerald, male, lodger, b. 1893, age 18, imm 1910/11?

There is another Chittenden that also imm in 1910 in Medicine Hat, 47 Township 20. He is listed as a lodger with dozens of others and it may be a mining camp rather than ranch because of some of the occupations listed.

Harry Chittenden, male, single, b. Dec 1891, age 19

some other sites that may be useful

Medicine Hat Genealogy Society
http://mhgs.abgensoc.ca/library.html

www.ourfutureourpast.ca/loc_hist/search.aspx
go to exact phrase, type in Ernest J Body, go to text, then search

page 290-293

p 292 makes reference to his cousin Arthur Perrey

Coaldale: gem of the west 1900-1983
Coaldale Historical Society

The site that I gave you for Attestation Papers also has them for
Ernest John Body
Reg # 552433

1911 Census Alberta. Medicine Hat/2 township 1
Body, Ernest J., head, single, 1-4-11, age 23, imm 1905
Body, Edward, head, single, 13-4-11, age 24, imm 1904

death
Ernest John Body
d. 1988/6/14, age 100
West Vancouver, BC

death of his wife Muriel Body
26 Oct 1961, Vancouver, BC

looks like various members and extended family members left Alberta for British Columbia.

Beacon Hill Lodge in West Vancouver does not appear to have anything on line. It is a relatively new senior's care home.

Is there something you would like to know about it?

I drive by it every day.

John

above in the "Shortest day, but the Longest night" by Ernest J Body. He states at the end of his 3 pages of his life, so far. That he was now in Beacon Hill Lodge West Vancouver at the age of 94 this was 1984 he died 6 years later in 1988 so must have been in there then?
