Hi :)

Looks like you're digging in my family tree there. I am descended from John Haycock b. 1816 Oswestry (blacksmith; father John Heycock, gardener) married Wolverhampton 1850 to Susan Dixon. Three children born before marriage (Edward 1841, John Thomas 1842 and Mary 1847), then several more afterwards: Sophia 1850, Alfred 1852, Samuel/Solomon 1853, Frederick 1857 and Joseph 1858. Then a final son George, born 1862, mother poss. Whitehead. Susan not the mother of George, as she died in 1860 together with an unnamed child.

Maybe we can compare notes?

Kind regards, Saskia (Dutch ;-)
Haycock (Liverpool and Wolverhampton); Rosewell (Shepperton); Wales/Whales (Thanet, Kent); Daborn (Chobham, Horsell); Prince and Powell (Liverpool area); Maxted and She(e)pwashe (Kent); Milo/Millot (France, Holland, England); genealogical research project on links to ancient Frisian aristocracy (Hofstra-Fynia-Tania). Spending the remainder of my time raising two kids ;o)

Hi. I am related to a branch of  the Haycocks through my late mother.  I wonder if there is a connection. The Hatfield I am related to see from Much Wenlock in Shropshire. That loves on Sheinton Street. My Grandma was named Mary Eliza  Haycock. She gave all her three daughters the middle name Haycock e.g. my mum was called Elsie Hancock Gent.
I want to Much Wenlock last year to visit the war memorial in the church as my Grandma's brother Albert is remembered there. Whilst I was there a woman in the church told me there are some Haycocks in Bridgenorth....I think she said that were undertakers.
There might be a link between your relative and my Grandma's father.

Further to my text...apologies ....predictive text made it unreadable!
'Hatfield' should read Haycock
'That loves' should read 'they lived'
'Elsie Hancock Gent' should read 'Elsie Haycock Gent'
