Yes she certainly did re-marry (John Deegan), although she was not buried with him, ending up in the same plot as William in Hamilton.  Where Deegan is buried is still a mystery.

Hmmm  ... have a feeling we had an earlier thread on here (a few years back if I recall), concerning John DEEGAN and Elizabeth  .... "PEVERELL" (I think it was spelt) ???

[Will see if I can find it. ]   :D

....   concerning John DEEGAN and Elizabeth .... "PEVERELL" (I think it was spelt) ???

.... ah no, forget that, it doesn't actually relate directly to your PAVREAL / PEVREAL family.

My great grandfather was Israel.

Any details you could provide on my great grandfather's family/relations and earlier history would be greatly appreciated.

Hi again

As you seem to already have some knowledge of the PAVREAL / PEVREAL family, could you tell us please, just what type of information you are wanting for your great-grandfather ?

[For the earlier history of the family, you may get better information by posting a (separate) query on, say, the Gloucestershire board ? ]

Hi

If you have access to the ancestry.com website, you'll find several family trees for PEVREAL /PAVREAL (William and Elizabeth nee ROSSITER).

Where Deegan is buried is still a mystery.

There's a John DEEGAN buried at Greymouth who may be a possibility ??

Died 1915 - aged 88 years - (born about 1827).

Hi Pavreal,

William also buried at Hamilton (see link above) - d. 1872 age 52 matches UK Census 1861.
I cannot find BDM records for either William or Ellen

Further to the above, BDM have replied to my enquiry......

Regarding William PAVREAL -
I have checked to see if a transcription error had occurred, but was unable to locate a record that matched the details provided.
It may be that the death was registered under different details, for example a different date or another name he may have been known by.

It is possible, however, that the death was never registered. You might like to look on the microfiche indexes available at most main libraries to see if you're able to locate a reference for him.

 Regarding Ellen PAVREAL -
This record was not found by your search as the surname had been transcribed as PARREAL. I have checked the record against the scanned original paper-based registration and as a result have amended the record to read PAVREAL. It should now be found by your search.

I do not have access to any library with death microfiche, but I agree with BDM that it would be worth checking there to see if his death can be found. I think it would be very unusual for Hamilton Cemetery to have a burial recorded of a death that was not registered - but who knows  ???
