found these in English 1911 census

can read line 1 (Liverpool, Lancashire)

line 2 (Parish of Mow?)

line 3 (Loch?)

not sure what the N.B. stands for

previous census only gave birth place as Scotland

any help welcome - thanks

There was a period during the Victorian era when there was an attempt by some to eradicate the name Scotland and refer to the country as North Britain.
This name was originally raised at the Union of the Crowns in the early 1600's but fell into disuse only to be revived several times over the years but most successfully during the Victorian times. It didn't last as its acceptance  was patchy  possibly because the equivalent South Britain was never used when referrring to England.

The North British railway (which had many lines in Scotland) was named after "North Britain."
