so there is possibly some kind of  Yorks connection???

If you are happy that he is your Robert then I suggest you take a closer look at the John and Jane I mentioned in replies 3 and 5.

You are only quoting a death entry registration reference so I am assuming you don't have a copy of the death certificate nor details of the burial.   That being so, you cannot know how old the person was who died in 1849 hence my earlier point that without knowing his age at death/burial you can't estimate when he was born (unless there was something on his marriage that said he was from the parish of Glanton).

The 1841 census would strongly indicate that Robert was already dead by then as indicated earlier - and without knowing his age at death you can't know that the baptism you are quoting 1786 Glanton is him.

I note that you have a tree on A...y plus there are 2 others - the others show no details for Robert except for his marriage and baptism of son so clearly, at this point, they don't a) have his burial details and b) his circa birth date.   From what you are quoting you have no proof of his death/burial either and therefore cannot say when/where born.   Kennedy is a popular surname in both Scotland and Ireland and he could even have come from either of these places.   Just because he, his wife and son were in Newcastle upon Tyne from at least 1824 and that he likely died there too you can't assume he was born in Northumberland - he married in another county and could have come from anywhere.

I don't mean to sound negative but just trying to point out that you can't assume 'facts' you must have reasonable proof.

You really do need to find his burial (more than likely in Newcastle upon Tyne) and ascertain his approximate birth year.

UP-DATE... i wish there was a way to attach a photo, so that I can put the actual baptism parish record of William Dixon Kennedy and other items, but I guess text will have to do for now

Then I decided to go back to check on Maria's baptism record in Sheffield.
Kennedy, Maria (of Sheffield, born 1815-12-29).
Baptised April 7, 1816, by e goodwin at Sheffield Parish Church, Church Street, Sheffield.

So that confirms they were in the York area at some point. The only Robert Kennedy and Harriet that I could find were in Kingston upon Hull...HOWEVER I did not have anything confirming it was actually them. Then someone found this for me   (And it was a copy of the ACTUAL register with their signatures, etc).

Robert seems to disappear after William Dixon's baptism in 1824.
