Sculcoates

Owers/Owens
John and Harriet Owers/Owens and their son Owen are shown on the 1881 Census as living at 22 Charlotte St, Sculcoates, York.
They originate from Norfolk. I am curious to know when they moved to Yorkshire and if there are any signs of them on the 1871 Census.
Their true name is Owers but has been transcribed incorrectly as Owens.

Haven't found them in 1871 in Sculcoates, nor anywhere else yet,

However, have found them on the 1891 census, John and Harriet living at Little Mason Street.

I am interested in the original post because my gggrandfather moved from Norfolk to Yorkshire, ending up in Hull (Sculcoates) and working in the docks. He was in York by 1840 when he got married at the age of 22, but by 1851 was in Hull. The Carvers come from the area to the SE of Norwich, extending to Great Yarmouth and my ancestor was born in Bramerton. I'm just curious as to whethe this is just a coincidence or whether there was a trend for people to leave Norfolk for Yorkshire at that time? A generation later, a Carver left for Newcastle amd I gather that other Carvers working on the trawlers out of Great Yarmouth used to drop in from time to time. Unfortunately I have no such anecdotes for my own direct line.
