I am trying to find information about my grandfather and his family. My grandfather and father have passed away and I do not ave many living relatives to ask for help. Hopefully someone out there may be able to shedd some light.
My grandfathers name was William Richard Griffiths born in the Rhondda, South Wales in1927. He married Beryl Morgan in 1953 in Pontypridd. My fathers birth certificate states he was a foreman (wholesale fruiteress). He died in 1972.
I think his father was Griffith Griffiths and that he married Elizabeth Ann Lloyd in 1916. I have heard off a distant family member that Griffith Griffiths married twice as his first wife died. I don't know if ELizabeth was his first or second wife. Here are a list of his other children's names ...
Betty Griffiths married John Williams and had Anthony and Ian Williams.
Gertrude Griffiths married Jack Bowyer and has Shirley Bowyer.
Magwen Griffiths married Caradog Sheppard and had Valerie Sheppard.
Mary Griffiths married Robert Chedzey and moved to Australia.
Maud Griffiths married Cyril Thomas and had Lynda and Martin Thomas. She remarried a man with the surname Davies and had Norma.
Nel Griffiths married Oliver Samways and had Raymond and Hugh Samways.
Hugh Lloyd Griffiths was born in 1917 and died in 1943 I think.
Byron Griffiths married a lady named Beryl and had Michael Griffiths.
If anyone could help I would gratefully appreciate it.
