I have the following information from FreeBMD.

Death   Mar q 1951
HARDIE  Violet M  68  Poole   6a 813

Death  Sep q  1956
HARDIE   Lancelot   70  Bournemouth  6b  136

The Violet above I think is Violet May Gumbrecht, formerley Young. Violet died in Blandford Forum.

I cannot seem to find a marriage on FreeBMD. I just wonder if they married in Scotland, as Lancelot was from Brechin.

A quick search on the British Newspapers archive finds a story from the Evening Telegraph (listed as being from Angus, Scotland) of Friday 20 April 1923 regarding Violet May having a spot of bother with the law. as I have no sub i can;t see what the issue was, but can say this was the mother as I see "wife of an Alsatian chef"  as well as "Westminster Magistrate" identifying the location of the case, despite the newspaper
