Lost Cameron of Argyll-Fodderty-Contin
« on: Monday 17 September 12 10:36 BST (UK) »
My Allan Cameron was born abt 1812 in Argyll (could be any 1 of about 12 Allan Camerons!)  At some point he moved to Fodderty R & C - banns in Fodderty parish 31/7/1835, then 7/8/1835 Contin parish for Allan's marriage to Helen Stronach.  By 1841 they were in Glasgow, then to Liverpool by 1851 and thus to Australia.  A death record can't be located for Allan Cameron in Australia so I can't determine his parents names.
So I'm looking in Fodderty as maybe his family moved there from Argyll between 1812 and 1835 - any Fodderty based Camerons got a spare Allan b about 1812 hanging around?
