Sarah Mackett

Sarah was born I believe in Stinsford around 1707. Any help with her death or parents/ancestors would be appreciated. She married Robert Foot.

www.opcdorset.org have transcriptions for Stinsford, her marriage to Robert Foot is there but I can't see a baptism. If you look at Dorset on genuki and select Stinsford you can click on "nearby parishes" and check those on dorset opc. Good luck

See there are a few others looking for this info on Ancestry.  Have you searched for her on Familysearch.org. Her marriage and children are well listed there.

Not many Mackett's born in that area of the country in the early 1700's. Got these from familysearch;

Zephamiah Macket  21 Aug 1709 (father Robert) B;Hampshire
Elizabeth Mackett  1 Dec 1706 (father Thomas, mother Ann) no location provided

I have been unsuccessful in my search to find anything about Sarah's parents and other relations. I would have thought the Mackett was not such an unusual name but I have drawn a complete blank apart from her connection with Stinsford. I wonder if there is a different spelling such as Mocket?

Well at least you have her father now (William).  Little steps !!!

If they followed "naming conventions" then her mothers name might also be "Sarah"
