Robert Foot
« on: Friday 21 September 12 09:59 BST (UK) »
Robert (b 5/5/1902 Up Cerne) killed himself in 1954 at his home near Minternre Magna. I wonder if anyone can give me the precise date and the date of his burial? I believe he was buried a tUp Cerne and confirmation would also be useful. I have seperately posted a question seeking information about how to obtain an inquest report.
Thanks Mark

Dear Jan,
I have been trying to get an inquest report without any joy as between June 1954 and Jan 1955 there is no record apparently. I am doubtful if there is anything you could add but if you can tell the actual date of his death or anything else that in your opinion could help then that would be most helpful.

Kind regards

Mark

If you obtain the Death Cert, you will get the exact date of Death and see if the Coroner was involved.....

You might be able to find a local newspaper article.

many thanks. As he was found hanged I would have thought the under all circumstances an inquest would have taken place but the certificate will show. Thanks Mark

I imagine an inquest occurred but the coroner's records may not have been kept, however a local newspaper article reporting on the inquest would give you the same details. There might also be a report of his death.
