Theresa Mary Short or Shortt
« on: Wednesday 26 September 12 12:11 BST (UK) »
Looking for information for a Theresa Mary Short (or it may have been spelt Shortt) Theresa's D.O.B is 1902, I do not know where in Limerick she was born the only information that I have got is that she came to England and married a John W Davis from Reading Berkshire and had four children.

Do you have a marriage cert for Theresa and John ?

It should show her father's name and occupation which could help confirm, or rule out, any details you find..

One place to start is possibly with the 1911 Irish census - see :

Hi Cha cha,
I am really so delighted that there is a relation out there.
I only came across this website last evening, while using Cornelius & Ellen Shortt as the search phrase.
I always wondered where Con's children ended up.

Cornelius died in 1917,aged 54. while Ellen died in 1932. aged 70. I found this out while searching manual records. The UK military records (Ancestry UK & common wealth) are a hive of information.
His Grandson, my father is still alive, aged 88.
I have some brief information on Con's mother and place of Birth, Ellen his wife: was married twice
I would love to make contact with Theresa's family?, I still learning my way around the site...so I'M not up to speed on private messages yet.

Thanks for making my day.
Regards
Colm
