Old Churchyard Bathgate look up for Hume Smith
« on: Sunday 07 October 12 21:41 BST (UK) »
Hi,

My relative Isabella Walker Smith who died in 1860 is buried in Old Church Yard Cemetery in Bathgate.
Her husband Hume Smith died before her and I am trying to find out if he is buried in the same cemetery.
Any help is appreciated.  Thank you.

Becky

Hi Becky,

Do you have any info on Hume`s birth ? I have seen a birth for the year 54 but that puts it 18 yrs. out from what I have.
 Jim.

Becky, I don't see either name in the Bathgate Mortality Records 1860-1925.

Skoosh.

Aye Skoosh, Becky and I are looking at the same folks,Isabella passed away on the 16th. Sept. 1860. so you would have thought she would be included in the record if it is intact.  That info. is from Sot/peo. record. died in < ? Looks like Hill or Mill St. Bathgate Unknownmale.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Hello

Did your Hume Smith marry Isabel Walker, and had a child called Margaret born 1798 Livingstone, who then married Thomas Chalmers.

Regards
Moo
