does anyone have any info on the ancestors of james calnan born in 1829 in county cork .his wifes name was anne calnan had a son called jerimiah james calnan .he emigrated to england sometime before 1860.any help would be appreciated

take a look at www.irishgenealogy.ie  enter cork & ross in place name. There are several james calnan baptised in the time period but without you having his parents names it would be difficult to make a choice. Regards

Your CALANAN family may be related to my Ellen CALANAN who married George CRISPIN in Clonakilty in 1812.  The family moved to Southwark sometime in the 1830s.

Says his father was Eugene Calnane and Mother Ellen Cronin
This place is north of Clonakilty.
Also
I did find a Eugene Thadeus Crispin that may be related to your message philipsearching.
