« on: Friday 19 October 12 11:48 BST (UK) »
Hi all

I have looked at some census information and found out my 2x G Grandmother
Was the lodging house keeper at 11 West Breast in Greenock
From looking at old maps I think this would be around about where the bullring roundabout is now I was hoping in the off chance that someone mite have some more information on the lodging house or know where I could get this information
Long shot I know but you never know

Hi my name is Jackie Kosovic and I think my Grandmother was born at West Breast in May 1905. Her name was Jean Arkley (or Harkley) Mallon Donald. I wonder if you have any information about this place. I will be grateful for anything to help me with a big family mystery. Thank you.

Regards

Jackie Kosovic

Hi,

Last year I began searching the biological parents of my father. I have learnt that my great grandmother was registered as the house keeper of West Breast Lodging House Greenock in the 1901 census. Her name was Martha Dalessandro nee Graham and her husband was Felix Dalessandro. They were also know as Alexander. Is it possible that your great grandmother may be the same person?

The building was located in Longmuir Square and information about the accommodation can be found at www.scottishmining.co.uk

Cheers
Carla
