Collier, John Henry & Elizabeth to Canada
« on: Monday 22 October 12 07:38 BST (UK) »
Hi,
My G Uncle John Henry Collier b. 1861 Salford, Manchester England, was living at 25 Belford Street
Salford, and married Elizabeth Caldwell in 1889 at Hulme, Manchester.

We believe he migrated to Canada in 1907, but don't have much details, other than we believe that he lived somewhere in Canada and then moved to Hollywood, Los Angles at some time.

We do not know when he and his wife died.     We think they had one son named Ernest when they migrated.

If anyone could assist me, would really appreciate that.

John had a trip back to England. No Elizabeth to be seen with hi. These dates give some indication to their death dates and where.
Border Crossings from Canada to US 1895-1954
John H Collier age 77 years and 4 months born about 1861
Arrived 22 Jul 1938 Quebec, Canada
Ship - Duchess of York
Departed Liverpool, England
Address in US
361 (or 381-has a line through it) Norwich Drive West Hollywood California

These details are entered on the ships log and then crossed out with the entry "Transferred to Canadian Sheet no 29" signed B Andrew Purser.
