Hi Thanks for your reply
Sorry I don't know where in Waterford. They moved back to England around 1852 and on all census returns it just says born Waterford - dates are John b 1841, William 1842, George 1844, Amos 1847 and Thomas 1850. Amos senior was born in Derbyshire and as far as I know was not jewish. His son John married at Manchester cathedral in 1865.
Amos was a feather dealer in Manchester on his return from Ireland for Booth and Fox who  had a business there as well as in Cork so I wondered if they married in Cork, Anastasia was b in Waterford.

What religion was down for the rest of the Booth family his son etc.

Roman Catholic records for Waterford are only online at the moment for baptisms at least.

Some of the COI marriages are on http://waterford.rootsireland.ie

But Amos Booth don't appear

Hi,

Can't help on Amos Booth but I do have some headstone photos for
some Booths buried in Cork, may be connected to your family. Booth is quite an
uncommon name

1 James Booth Fox

2  John Bradley Booth d 1905 aged 64 & his 3rd son Rev Robert M.B. died in China
   & his wife Jane

3 William Crawford Booth, also his parents John & Rachel

Let me know if you would like the photos

Thank you for your reply. I have been looking back at  research and as well as Amos Booth and John Peter Booth their sister Mary Booth married Adam Fox (who was the Fox of Booth and Fox feather purifiers/ quilt manufacturers of Lavitts Quay) Their children were also born in Cork so James Booth Fox must be theirs so would be grateful for pictures. John Bradley Booth is also a relative I think. I will look for William C.
Thanks again

Hello jmol17, my great great grandfather was Adam Fox of Fox and Booth Ltd.  I have been trying to work out why he left Derbyshire and moved to Cork in the 1830s before returning to Derbyshire before 1851.  I was not aware of this connection before I found this post.  Do you have any informatio you can share on Adam Fox or Fox and Booth Ltd.
