Hello Allyson,
Do you think you could do a look up for me?
I don't know a lot about my Irish roots, but I do know that my grandfather was one Francis Halpin also  known as Frank,
I know he lived in drogheda County Louth and was born in the very Early 1900,s
Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks
Hollygirl

Allyson,
I am also interested in finding a Patrick Halpin who might have passed in 1910. His wife, Bridget is shown as the head of the household in the 1911 Mooretown census and his children, Thomas (my grandfather) and Catherine emigrated in 1907 (to the US). But also have a record returning to the US in 1910.

I've been unsuccessful in my search and wondered if there are additional resources I might search if perhaps he died somewhere other than Ireland.

Thank you in advance.

Family Search (www.familysearch.org) have lots of databases covering different countries for different periods so you could start by having a look there.

Could you post a link to Bridget in the 1911 census please. Do you have Patrick in the 1901 census? (if so, please post that link also). When was Patrick born?

Added-have posted possible birth for son Thomas here-

Looks like this is the family in 1901

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Aghadowey,

My apologies for posting a vague question.

My grandfather was Thomas Halpin
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XJR4-GQN

I believe his family lived in Westmeath in 1901 http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Westmeath/Fore_West/Lakill_or_Moortown/1776972/
Thomas and his sister Catherine emigrated in 1907
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JX2R-26T
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JX2R-26Y

But returned to the US in 1910

Fr. William Halpin 57
Residence: Algona, Iowa
ID 101423090154
Departed: Liverpool
Arrived on the Celtic September 4th, 1910
Manifest line: 003

Thomas Halpin 28
ID 101423090155
Manifest line: 004

Catherine Halpin 22
ID 101423090156
Manifest line: 005

I made the assumption they returned home for a funeral, but their father could have been the Patrick from Devine who died in 1906...

Thanks again for any assistance.

Check the manifest from them going to U.S. in 1901- 2 pages- should give name and address (and relationship) of nearest relative in U.K.

The Patrick Halpin who died 1906 Mooretown had son Christopher-
