It could be the same man but difficult to say for definite.

By the way if you are wanting help tracing the family back I suggest you start a new thread on the Norfolk board or this thread will become confusing. Also you mustn't cut and paste from other sites as it infringes copyright, you can only post your own transcriptions from census images.

did not realise about infringement of cut & paste its just too easy to do

Hello!
Am excited to find this post as this photo has been in my family for ages and I was told that it was my  Grandfather,  Richard Bishop ( of lifeboat lodge  Mablethorpe) would be good to get in touch as I believe we have quite a few Bishops in common, from  Sheringham and later Grimsby.

And finally... the car is a Swift Ten Q type Tourer (with a whopping 10bhp!). :)

There's a Hawthorne Street in Barnsley plenty of coal mines around the area at that time.

Good evening,

Sorry nat but that is the wrong car, that is a 1925/6 model. The one posted originally is the 1923 model with the headlamps on the wings not in front of the grill. Also the spare wheel drops in a slot on the running board not on top of it and no fuel can.

The windscreen has no surround on it on the original either, just a plain glass with no edging.
