Hi.

Have found an ancestor of mine on the 1911 census serving in the royal navy as a stoker, does anybody know how to find which ship he was serving in or was this classified info. not for public knowledge?

His name was william cook, he was born in new brompton kent 1898.

if you look at the address sheet on the census, it will be name & description of the vessel. Are you sure about that date of birth? 13 is rather young for a stoker....

Hi.

My mistake a slip of the finger on the keyboard, should have been born 1888, not 1898.
I recently took up the ancestry free 1911 census lookup but where the address should probably be has been hidden behind another window of theirs hence why I'm asking for help.
