Thank you  so so much. This will mean so much not only to me but to my aunty. She is following this and is the gate keeper to all our family history. All her info stopped just before the nicholsons so this will help.

Just got the death certificate for Louisa Jane. The poor girl died of alcoholism and bronchitis at the age of 31. So the monster drove her to drink. She died the same year as her horrible ex husband. Just shows that money does not equal happiness.

Hi. My Grandmother was Annie Greenhow Nicholson, born in 1860. She lived at Ewanrigg Hall and I think her father, my Great Grandfather, was John Nicholson. Her name is not mentioned in your list of children. She married Anthony Blackstock Dalzell of Liverpool. I'd be grateful for any further information. I have what I believe is a photo of her. Does anyone have any further information on the Nicholson family?

This is all very exciting. I have a photo of John Nicholson that was posted by another Roots chat member. I shall reply in more detail later when I have time. Your Annie must be the sister of my Louisa. What a poor sad life she had.
