I couldn't find Leonard's wife on the Sheffield Indexers wesbite.

I can tell you that she isn't buried with either of her parents-in-law.

There are several people with buried with Isaac and Mary but none of the names mean anything to me yet so I don't know if there are any family connections.

I looked at the entries for all the Sheffield cemeteries listed on the find a grave website and haven't found Leonard or Ada May there.

Leonard isn't with his parents either :-\

For Gibby. Hope that you find this. Have seen someone on the genealogical pages on FaceBook looking for Leonard Moreton, but couldn't remember just which one - or who it was!

On the passenger lists (FindMyPast) departing Liverpool for Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, 9 April, 1910. Ship named "Mongolian"

Leonard Moreton, no age given, occupation: labourer

*EDIT* I see that this gentleman has already been found on a previous page here - and his status is described as being "Single", I'm wondering if that just means that he's no longer married, not just not having ever been married.

That is my query on facebook.

I posted there as well so people who don't use forums such as RC could see it and maybe help me out.

The guy who went to Canada is not my Leonard.  This has already been checked out, thanks.

Since posting my original query I have found out the following;

Leonard had a son called Arthur who was born in 1906 and died the same year aged only a few months.

His wife Ada May died in 1907 and his daughter Beatrice in 1908.

Some time ago I obtained a death certificate for a Leonard Moreton hoping it may the right one.  I am still not sure.  It says that he died on 18 February 1944 in Sheffield Infirmary.  I will post the full details tomorrow when I've got the certificate out.

Since posting this original message I have found out that the Leonard who married in 1923 is another son of Leonard senior who I didn't know existed.

I am still looking for Leonard senior who is proving to be very elusive.

I have been doing some research recently but it turned out to be wrong so I am back at square one.

How can someone just vanish? ???

I have also found out that the death certificate mentioned on this thread is not for my Leonard.
