Oh dear not doing very well are we!

How about daughter Ada May - is she with Elizabeth Cooper in 1911?  Any more details on Elizabeth you can give?  If she looked after her you would have expected the other little girl to be with her too unless she went to another relative or something happened to her  :(

There's a Beatrice Morton death in Sheffield Jun 1908 age 13.  Could be her as the age fits with being 6 in 1901  :(

Sometime ago when I was looking for Elizabeth I found her with her own family and husband Joseph.  No sign of my Ada May ???

Joseph Cooper married Elizabeth Earnshaw on 25 March 1878 at St Philip, Shalesmoor, Sheffield.

They had seven children between c1879 and c1898.  All born in Sheffield where my lot came from.

I think the Cooper connection is with Joseph.

Originally I thought Elizabeth was the unmarried sister of Mary Moreton (formerly Cooper).  She was Leonard's mother.

Elizabeth Cooper died in 1933.

Ada May died in 1966 and they are buried together along with Ada May's daughter and grandaughter.

Thanks for that extra info on Elizabeth  :)

So she took Ada in after her mother died but she wasn't living with her in 1911.  I wonder where on earth she was - maybe in a boarding school or something similar  :-\

It's all very confusing ???

All I've ever known is that Ada May was brought up by her auntie after her mother died.

Looks like I made the wrong assumption about Elizabeth being unmarried.

I think I'll follow the Cooper side of things and see if it matches up anywhere.

I have just looked for Ada May again in 1911 but haven't been able to find her ???

Do you know where I could look to see if she was at a boarding school?

Thanks.
