Newcastle Emlyn Marriage.
« on: Friday 07 December 12 20:04 GMT (UK) »

My 3xG/Grandmother, married my 3xG/Grandfather, in the Parish Church of Newcastle Emlyn on the 13th October 1843.( i presume this was the time of the Rebbeca Riots),on the Marriage Certificate he's a Soldier residing in Newcastle Emlyn, his wife was residing in Staynton, Pembrokeshire. What Regiments were here at this time?
On his Sons Birth Certificate in July 1844 he's a Royal Marine based in Pembroke Dock, could anyone change regiment at this time.
             Regards,  Gypo.

Hello Gypo  :)

Assuming that they are the same person, perhaps he didn't change regiment but the vicar just wrote Soldier on the marriage certificate?

I'm not an expert on the military though!

Best Wishes
Morgan
