Guernsey birth 1807 FAGAN !!!HELP!!!
« on: Wednesday 01 June 05 14:51 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone,

I have recently found out that my ggg-grandfather Thomas Fagan was born in Guernsey in 1807.  This is as per the census returns in 1871.

He is listed as "British subject" - does this mean his parents were not from the island and they were just passing through?

Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction as to where I could find more information on his birth?  Or can anyone find this birth in the archives please?

This is the first time I have "dabbled" outside of England and Wales, except a small "dabble" in Northern Ireland!
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Claudia
