The address on the 1822 baptism is 'Village' which I would take to be Castletownbere itself. Was there army based there as well as on Bere Island?

On the "village" question. Castletownbere is the general main town of the Beara pensinsula, so would not be the village. I have researched a number of families in the Beara area and not yet come across the term "village" singularly. My best guess would be that it refers to the nearby village of Eyeries. It is a best guess only.
