I'd be very interested. Would this include Scottish travellers. I have several families of these which eventually lead back to Ireland...thence dead end.

The types and locations would definitely help Bob; also if possible the periods in a particular location.

There are 4 address fields ("locations") in the database. For the German Pork Butchers I used the first field as "Place of origin" but this could be used here for "Place of Birth", or simply as another location field.  You can enter comments in the place fields about how long they stayed here ("periods in a particular location.").

No feedback on this other than:

What types would be most useful, as above ? or others ?

e.g.  Travellers, Romani, Showmen, Musicians

Where "Showmen" = Circuses and Fairs

Feedback welcome, it's almost ready to roll ...

We've gone live !!!!!

Afer opening the DBSIG with the group: German Pork Butchers,
I have now added a new group: Travelling People

- types of "Travelling People" (Romanies, Gypsies, Tinkers, Travellers, circus, theatre, musician, ... ) ?

Still no feedback on this so I've started it off with the following types (or DBSIG sub-groups):

   Traveller
   Romani
   Sinti
   Gypsy
   Tinker
   Hawker
Showground People  [ for circuses and fairs]

The sub-groups are optional, so we'll see how it goes, and maybe add more "on demand".

I've added a few records for a fictional family called XTraveller, so you can see some of the possibilities. (Quick Search => X)

Enjoy,
Bob
