1871 look up please for ezekiel duro

can you help find ezekiel duro born 1852 ilkeston on the 1871 census his parents are william and lucrietia thanks there is another ezekiel duro born about 1860 thats not him thanks

I can find his parents and some siblings in 1871
His twin sister is in Nottingham as a servant - but Ezekiel is not to be found??

I tried Duro/Durow/Durose but he doesn't seem to be under those names

yes i found his parents etc but not him

From the Ilkeston St Mary Parish records i find:-

William and John Duro..sons of William (a collier) and Lucretia..both from Cotmanhay..baptised together  15.04.1842............doesn't mean they were twins though........but no sign of Ezekiel anywhere in the Pr's.

Plent of later Duro baptisma, but none of them appear to be related.

He is on the 1861 son aged 8..and on the 1881 married to Jane..1891 living with wdowed mother Lucretia..nd in 1901 with what looks like a new wife Elizabeth......

he's hard to find, the census for him in 1861 could be lost,never mind i have him on the others thanks for looking

..the 1861 Census for him won't be lost......it probably means that in 1861 he was notin any given place on the night of the Census.....a very common occurrence........he just didn't register.....simple as that...think of how many thousands of the current population who will never appear on the 2011 census........for whatever reason.

I lived for probably 40 years without being onany Electoral Roll..........

I have Ezekiel b 1852 in my tree but no details of his whereabouts in 1871. He married Jane Riley in 1874 (Basford 7b page 201) and at the 1881 Census they were living at 24, Kensington Street, Ilkeston. Ezekiel was listed as a coalminer.

I understand Jane died in 1896 and Ezekiel in 1928.
