Hi Ryan,

I am a descendent of a William Munson Mills who was baptised in Nayland, Suffolk on 10.3.1824. His parents were a John William Mills (b circa 1791 Dedham, veterinary surgeon) and Sarah. His wife was Mahala Kent (bap 5.5.1833 Wivenhoe, married March Q 1854, Wivenhoe). I have been unable at this point in time been able to determine where William inherited the middle name of 'Munson' from.

The only clue I have is a marriage located for me back in 2003 that had a Sarah Munson (single) marrying James Mills (widower) on 7/11/1754 in Ardleigh. I have not been able to connect this marriage yet to my John William Mills. I was wondering if you had any information in your Munson family material that may shed any light.
Ireland- Harpur, Copeland, Longridge, Hayes
Devon- Underdown, Pennington, Cox, Bishop, Harding
Cornwall- Teague, Rowe, Long, Bray, Trounson, James, Bosanko, Jewell, Pollard, Rundle, Mutton, Hand, Floyd, Rodda
Suffolk- Mills, Bird
Essex- Mills, Kent, Ruffell
Glamorgan, Wales- Morgan, David, Jones, Thomas, Watkins, Morris

Hi.

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately I don't have any Sarahs who would be alive in that year.
No known Mills connection as of yet.

Good luck with your research into this.

Ryan.

Hello Ryan,

Now I knew a Kath Yeldham, who coincidentally loved in Great Yeldham, here in Essex, she was married to Bill Yeldham, he was a farmer I believe, in Great Yeldham, they have both passed on now, I think Kath went about 5 years ago, and at a good age, 90 plus, I also live next door to  John Munson, married to a Sylvia King, both long time Colchester area, Essex residents, as were their precedents, do they ring any bells   ????

regards,

Bob lima

Hi. My name is christopher MUNSON mills and I am from Australia. Given some of the information in the postings I may be able to help. My late father has done a very extensive family tree going back to Nayland   he was a William MUNSON and there are others goinG back.  I am in England at the moment and will be back in Oz on the 15th June.  Maybe we can correspond then to find some links.  Regards
