My only grumble is the "chat" won't let me log-in, says I'm an invalid user (yet I'm logged in here!!!)  :o

The chatroom feature is not currently working, but I'm sure it will be shortly...so Keep Calm and Search On  ;D

I like it!  :)

A couple of hiccups:

When I first came on the text was a little too small but that was soon fixed.

I pressed the 'MOBI' button to see what it was like and found it an interesting way to look at things. I had all sorts of trouble getting back ... could we perhaps have a 'NOT MOBI' somewhere on the MOBI layout? If you have the same trouble scroll right down to the bottom and hit the "Go to full site" button.

Overall I like it a lot - it's fresh and modern and attractive without being too garish. I think some of the colouring and sizing needs some minor tweaks but overall some excellent work.

I think the banner graphic is a bit too screen-hungry for my liking but just a bit.

Hi sarah and trystan, and thank you for all your hard work  :)

Just one point:
To find your posts, Click on the "Profile button" at the top of the site, and under your profile picture you will see your posts.

This only seems to work on other people's profiles. If I select my own profile there is nothing at all to click on for my own past posts  :-\

Hi JenB

I agree with you, I can click on your profile and there is "Show posts", and "Show Stats" but that page appears to be missing on my own profile.  If I click on Profile at the top of the page, I can scroll through 3 or 4 pages of my profile but still no "Show posts".

Oh dear.    It's very cluttered.    It's difficult to see the actual posts for the information all over the place.

Not at all sure I'll get to like it.

I got quite a surprise when RootsChat came up. There seemed to be a lot of screen acreage not being used. However, I use Firefox as a browser; this has a +/- button which can be placed on the menu and used to increase or decrease the size of the screen content. This got rid of the totally surplus strips of wasted grey on either side of the screen. So I now have the "large print" version of the site on my screen.

After stumbling around the new site layout for a half an hour or so, I'm afraid the only printable thought that crossed my mind was "If it ain't broke, why fix it?"

The new logo from a few weeks back is very nice.

          PatB.

Crumbs! what a shock!  wasn't prepared for soooo much change, but been dipping in and out today and am getting used to things - except suddenly getting the old format now and again :o

Not grumbling - just struggling with the pinky brown tall thin font, the letters seem to run into each other   :'(  praps I need new specs.

Is there any way we can have the 'unread posts' link back at the top of the page please?  I'll even send biccies as a bribe if necessary  ;D

It would be interesting know if it is those of us of a 'certain age' who take longer to adjust to change.
