Morgan/Morgans in Kidwelly
« on: Wednesday 02 January 13 23:07 GMT (UK) »
Martha Irene Morgan/Morgans was born December 12, 1904 in Kidwelly. Apparently she was the illegitimate daughter of Elizabeth Morgan/Morgans who's mother was Martha Morgan and I'm assuming that this was her married name.
Apparently Elizabeth Morgan/Morgans eventually ended up marrying a Thomas Jones.
Could someone please do a census look up for me on this family and hopefully I can sort out the Morgan/Morgan mess plus hopefully get other useful information on this family. Many thanks in advance.

We can't look up the 1911 census for you - copyright & other legal stuff! :(

To look up the 1901 census, we would more details of Eilizabeth and/or Martha - there are just too many Morgan's to search!

Thank you for replying to my post. Unfortunately I don't have any other information other than what I have given you already. Do you know if perhaps the 1911 census is online to view for free?

Sorry!
The 1911 is available to view on a pay-per-view basis, only.

The indexes are free to view, but not the transcripts.

You could try either FindMyPast, GenesReunited, Ancestry or 1911census.co.uk

I've sent a personal message that might help with searching the census indexes.

Elizabeth Morgan is a General Domestic servant (single) aged 20 born at St. Ishmael on the 1901 census, enumerated at "Blyne" in parish of Llangendeirne with Isaac Thomas aged 64 farmer and his wife Harriet & children.

Elizabeth is at home in 1891 with her parents Thomas Morgans aged 38 and Martha Morgan aged 39 and siblings Isaac aged 9 , Mary Ann aged 7 & Eleanor aged 4. They are at the Kings Arms Lodge St Ishmael's. Thomas is a labourer in the Brickyard and all were born in St. Ishmael.

Thomas,  Martha and Mary Ann Morgans are at Water Street Kidwelly in 1901. Thomas now a labourer in the tin works.

Elizabeth's husband Thomas had been married to Eliza Fisher (dau of Henry & Margaret Fisher) and they must have married in about 1900 because they had a child Alice aged 4 months on 1901 census at New Street Kidwelly. Thomas was a coal hewer collier below ground. Eliza died in Dec Q 1908.
