Mackay in Rhemusaig, Rogart
« on: Monday 14 January 13 20:46 GMT (UK) »
???I am searching for some trace of Angus MACKAY. His wife Janet Maculloch is in the 1811 eviction list for Rhemusaig, and again in 1841 census, in Rhemusaig. No mention of her husband Angus MACKAY either time. The only child I can find for them is Hugh MACKAY b 1810c, father of the children with Janet  McCulloch in 1841 census.  Hugh's 3rd son is named William , and I wondered if perhaps the William Mackay shown on the eviction notice could be the father of Angus.
If anyone could suggest where or how to proceed from here ,I would be very appreciative!

Perhaps a long shot, but you might try Chris Stokes who had ancestors at Rhemusaig. Her web site is:
