« on: Friday 18 January 13 20:38 GMT (UK) »
I hope it is O. K. to post this here as it relates to a pay site.

The Irish Family History Foundation's Online Research Service (ORS) announce the availability of 109,082 Roman Catholic Baptismal and Marriages and 116,700 new Census Substitute Records from the North Tipperary Genealogy Centre for North Tipperary County.
This census substitute database contains an index to people recorded in four such sources, dating from 1665 to 1919. These four additional sources are:
Tithe Applotment Books (TAB) dated 1820 to 1840 – These land records were compiled circa 1825 to 1838. The return was made of each townland within a civil parish within a barony. The purpose was to make an assessment of land values for the payment of tithes which was a tax levied on land (no dwellings or outhouses) for the support of the church.
Poor Law Rate Books dated 1842 – 1858.
Hearth Money Rolls dated 1665.
North Tipperary Street Directories dating from 1846 to 1919.
they have also added some pf the Cashel & Emly parishes to the site.
