I have just collaborated with Ron Cosens around posting a webpage about my gt gt grandfather, Robert Cade, who established his studio in Ipswich in 1852.  He was a photographer using the collodion process and took photos of the buildings at Cambridge, Ely Cathedral and others of note and exhibited at the London 1862 Industrial Exhibition as well as at other locations in the late 1850's.  If you are interested in the history of photography, you might find this page interesting.  Ron has an extensive collection of CDVs from many Victorian photographers and has several biographical pages similar to the one I have described.  You can access this at
