Hi Arranquest,

How sure are you that John and HARRIET Dawkins are the right parents?

John and Harriet Dawkins of Highgate, Monkton, baptised a son William in 1825 at Monkton. This is not your William as he shows up in the census born Lamphey and living in Warren, and they would not have 2 sons called William. John Dawkins of Highgate, Monkton was buried in Warren in 1835, aged 44. Harriet Dawkins (Doughkins) is living in Monkton in the 1841 census with sons James 9 and Charles 6. HO107; Piece: 1443; Book: 17. District: 11; Folio: 8; Page: 10

As I said before - the William Dawkins baptised in 1822 in Pwllcrochan is the son of John and LUCY Dawkins.

I also noticed that William has a daughter named Lettice as did John and Lucy Dawkins - not a common name. Also a grand daughter Lucy Maria.

I also suspect that both the Dawkins families are related.

Regards,
