Jane Clare Gray McRobbie (Clare McRobbie)

Am researching Jane Clare Gray Mcrobbie, born 1925 in Kennethmont, Aberdeen Scotland.
I have found records showing her coming from Canada to London then returning to Montreal
in 1958.  But cannot find anything else.  On the records it showed her as Clare McRobbie so she must have used Clare as her main name.   Can anyone help me with any other information in Canada.   Thanks

When she departed Glasgow in 1955 she used the name Jane McRobbie. On returning to England in 1958 she used Clare Gray McRobbie.  She was returning to England for a 7 week holiday and gave an address in Northumberland not Scotland.
Do you have a return journey to Montreal after her arrival at Liverpool on 22 April 1958?

Apart from these journeys I am not picking up anything else for her yet.

Northumberland is where her brother George McRobbie lived so I would assume she was visiting him there.

Jane McRobbie Clerk , that's her.  On the shipping records it says she was a clerk.

I don't have anything on her at all.  So any bit helps.

I now know she lived in Ontario.  Thank you.

My father has recently found out about his sister Jane and his brother George.  Dad is 84
so I can now tell him she lived in Ontario.  She has probably passed away she would be 88 but you never know.  George died in 2005.  I don't know if she ever married as it is hard to get access to more recent documents.

Have you tried to obtain an obituary for George - that might mention his sister and give some more clues.

Jane Or Jean was in Scotland in December 1948 and had a son named Philip James McRobbie who was born in Dunoon Argyll  nd on the birth certificate the name Jean is used. The child was adopted (me)
the following year and the fathers name is on the paper work. On my birth certificate her address is given as The Lodge Kennethmont so it would seem she was in the Aberdeenshire area for quite a while. on the adoption papers her address at that time was Glasgow.

I would like to make sure we are dealing with the same Jane McRobbie.  You stated she was born in 1948 or is that when you were born.  I have she was born on 14th August 1925 she had a brother George and their parents were Christine Lobban and William Law McRobbie .
