The previous poster is right in that this is undoubtably the name of a farm or house. Even today, addresses in Orkney are house names (except for some in the main town of Kirkwall, or houses within newer housing estates). This does make life fun when trying to input them into standard government forms! So, it should be possible then to actually find your Saviskaill either on current or old maps of Orkney. I say 'should', because unfortunately there are often many houses of the same name in different areas of Orkney. If you can identify which area, or which island your ancestors came from then that will help. This link will get you to one possibility, but it may not be the only one. (it is the only one I can find at the moment though). It is on the north isle of Rousay, which is just a short ferry trip from mainland Orkney.
http://tinyurl.com/saviskaillIf you zoom in on the map at the point of Saviskaill bay you will get the house/farm identified.
For a bit more of a scenic view try this site:
http://www.aroundrousay.co.uk/saviskaill_bay.shtmlYou will see on one of the photos here that Saviskaill farm is identified in the picture. This again 'may' be your farm, but may not, and even if it is the right location, the buildings will probably be a lot newer. There will almost certainly be remnants of old buildings on the site though, around the current buildings.
(BTW I live in Orkney, although I am a relatively recent immigrant to the islands and have no family heritage here)
