Mendham burials
« on: Tuesday 05 February 13 15:32 GMT (UK) »
I have an ancestor, Alfred Thomas Marston, who died in Mendham in 1954.

I was just wondering if there is any records for burials in Mendham online?

Thanks in advance.

Hi OleyKe,
I've checked the National Burial Index (3rd Edition) for you and the recorded burials at All Saints, Mendam, Suffolk burial dates are 1678-1900.
Try contacting the Suffolk Family History Society (FHS). FHSs are a valuable resource usually manned by keen volunteers who know their area and will often do a free lookup.

For 1954 it would be worth checking with the present incumbent whether the churchyard was/is still being used for burials.

Details to contact the Vicar of Mendham All Saints here

If a cremation, Bungay might be the nearest? More information on Bungay cemetery here

Hi,

I live in Mendham and am writing a book on the parish. A T Marston is in it as he ran the shop for years. There is also a living relative in Mendham. Need any help?
