Northampton Mercury Pg 3 last column April 9th 1796

At our Quarter Seffions, Ann Welford and 
Barbara Mason were convicted of affembling in
a riotous manner, in the Parish of Towcetter,
in company of a great number of other perfons,
principally women, and endeavouring to ftop
Mr Adam's market waggon.  They were fen-
tenced to fix weeks imprifonment in the Houfe
of Correction, and to be kept to hard labour
during that time.
