I do not know if the paper you have listed have any information but there is a death notice in the Sun  on 19 Dec 1964.  It lists his wife, children and grandchildren.  As these people are probably still alive I will send you a PM with the details.

On the same day there was also a Funeral Notice.  The funeral was to take place in Ferntree Gully at 10.30am on Tuesday Dec 22 followed by a procession to Box Hill Cemetery

Box Hill Cemetery records can be searched online and show he is buried in Grave B617
