This wonderful tool searches the National Archives of Australia (NAA), the Australian War Memorial (AWM) and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) all with the one search.

Thanks for bringing that to our attention. I've put it in my favourites. Though none of mine were in in WW1, I'm sure it will come in useful nevertheless.  :)

I just had a play with the site - I like the way the digitised records all appear on screen, so you can click on and enlarge whichever page you want.  :)

I REALLY like that feature - much better than the NAA's viewing setup which is pretty ordinary  :-\

Thank you for the link, Cass, I'll drop the developer a line on Twitter and let him know what a great idea it is  :D

Prue M ,

Thank you for contacting the developer, if I knew how I would also send Him/Her a message.
A friend told me about it, (I dont how she found the link), and I thought I would pass it on to Rootschat,

Cass

Hi, I'm the developer - glad you're finding it useful.

Just thought I'd let you know that you can actually view any digitised NAA file using my Archives Viewer. Just go to:

http://dhistory.org/archives/naa/

And enter an item barcode.

There's also a bookmarklet you can use to jump directly from RecordSearch, see:

http://dhistory.org/archives/naa/connectors/

Cheers, Tim

Great work, Tim - thanks for the hints and links.  I just love that record viewing interface you have set up :)
