Hi peeps,

Having trouble with tracing my allingham side as my g nan Daisy Allingham was born in the latter part of 1901 so she is not on the 1901 census. She came from wareham this is all i know so anyone with Allingham from wareham in dorset could be connected would be nice to hear from anyone.

Hi Cheryl

do you have your nan's birth certificate yet?  This looks a likely match:

ALLINGHAM Daisy Elizabeth Wareham Dec quarter 1901 ref: 5a 278

Once you have that, it should detail her parents names and her father's occupation, plus an address in an ideal world!  This would narrow down your search.

kind regards, Arranroots  ;)

Once you have the reference (above) you can buy the certificate online, for example from the 1837online website.  It costs £7, which could be cheaper than the trip, unless you live near London or are going anyway!
