Hi All,
My Watters (Walters, Waters) originate from Crowan.
William was the son of Thomas Walters and Joan (nee Williams of Crowan and was christened as William Walters on 18 May 1800.
The record of the Cornwall 1841 Census shows the family as Walters in the district of Crowan Book 7, Folio 56, page 6. This location is just east of Crowan town. At the time of the census there was indeed a hamlet named 'Carn' in the parish of Crowan, east of the village of Crowan and west of Black Rock. In 1884 it contained four farms and today the area is called The Carn and includes Carn Vean Farm, Carn Meor Farm and on its outskirts Higher Carn, Bolankan and Seaview Farm. The Ordnance Survey grid reference is X:165567 Y:34666
William died at Willunga South Australia 31.3.1872 and Lenora died also at Willunga 20.10.1875.

We could be related!!!

Cheers

John

Hi ,

I  am a descendant of William and Leonora Watters. Any information about their homeland, photographs, information about their parents would be very appreciated. I am trying to discover their parents names.  A little information from this site has given me a lead, but anything authorative would be helpful.

Regards
Christian Watters
