Look up Hatched Matched Despatched announcements, see what G G grand-dad was accused of when he appeared in court, see adverts for the family business and much more in the NLW's brilliant new resource Welsh Newspapers Online. Millions of scanned pages from historic newspapers:

A sister project (in beta at time of posting) to the newspaper site has recently been set up be the National Library: Welsh Journals Online

https://journals.library.wales/home

Welsh Journals provides access to journals relating to Wales published between 1735-2007. Titles range from academic and scientific publications to literary and popular magazines. It also contains most of the denominational magazines, which have obits to chapel members, often in much greater detail than the newspapers.
