P.S. If any further information on the Elder family is found - that would be great.

Thanks,
Sandi

Hi Sandi

I have been doing some family research on this family for my cousin.  Maybe I can be of help to you.

I have today received Andrew Elder 1896 death certificate from 1969.  Evelyn Morrison was my Mother's sister.   Wish I'd seen your message before but not been on for a while.

Kind regards

Karen Walker

Hi

I have been working on the Elder tree for a few years now for my cousin Agnes.  Her father was Andrew Elder senior and her mother Evelyn Morrison.
After Evelyns death Andrew married Mary Wanless.   If we have the same Andrew please get in touch.

Thanks

Karen

Hi Karen yes my Grandmother was Mary Wanless and my Grandfather was Andrew Elder.
Is Agnes still alive ?  My dad has spoken about a sister who moved to Austrialia is this Agnes or relatives?

Hi charlie07,
Thanks for your reply. I know Karen (a step-in-law relative, though we have never met) and we correspond regularly. I also know Agnes (Karen's cousin and your Grandfather's step-sister) very well and we keep in touch, in fact she phoned me yesterday afternoon and we had a catch-up chat. She will be turning 89 next month. And yes, both Agnes and I are in Australia - different States though.

My 'relationship' with Agnes is really through my in-law side of the family - all from Scotland. My late mother-in-law's (Rebecca MacAndrew - 1st husband John Ritchie) second husband was Leonard Montgomery Stark who was previously married to Isabella Naismith Morrison (5th born of the 7 Morrison girls). She was sister to Evelyn Morrison who was married to Andrew Elder - your Grandfather. I know, it's all very confusing!!
