ISABELLA MITCHELL, aged 55 years, 22nd March 1881.This is My Great Great Great Grandmother
AGNES McFARLANE, aged 44 years, 11th May 1982. This is my Great Great Grandmother( I think you meant 1892)
ISABELLA PRENTICE, aged 4 years, 15th November 1893.

found the entry for the 1881 burial in the Day Book, just before it ends in the middle of the year.

ISABELLA MITCHELL, housewife, Wishaw, aged 55 years, widow.
Parents - James McFarlane & Jane Prentice.
Old churchyard, 22nd March 1881.

Lodger, seriously I am sitting here with tears in my eyes. I cannot thank you enough. After I posted my message, I started on the Mitchell side and found the documents I have for Isabella with parents of James McFarlane and Jane Prentice so not only did you find my Great Great Grandmother, you found her mother as well. I had her death as 20th April 1881 and her burial confirms this.

I am so grateful
Liz

I'm awake.  Sometimes I'm pleased to be awake at this time of the morning.  Not today though, cos once again, I've not been to sleep since yesterday morning.
:(

Very glad your research is going well.

Thank you Dave, you had a big hand in this too you know ;D

What you all don't know is that the line I have just started as mentioned above with my Great Great Great Grandmother is a doozy. She had 15 children. So keep an eye out for posts on "Mitchell" as it should be fun (not) as they went to New Zealand and Canada and all over the world it seems. I will concentrate my efforts in Scotland first though. :o :o

Hi Liz, I was At Cam'nethan old churchyard a couple of days ago, here are what's left of your family gravestones.
I will have to post them one at a time because of the size of the files. The first 3 are of what little is left of the Mitchell & McFarlane stone.
Paterson, Torrance, Gilchrist - Hamilton Lanarkshire.
McCallum - Oban, McKechnie - Ross of Mull Argyll.
Scrim - Perthshire.
Liddell - Polmont,
Binnie - Muiravonside Stirlingshire.
Curran, McCafferty, Stevenson, McCue - Co Donegal
Gibbons, Weldon - Co Mayo.
Devlin - Co Tyrone.
Leonard - County Donegal & Glasgow.

This shows the stone's position in the churchyard. Almost as far away from the old ruined church as it could be, this area in the foreground was an overflow - extention probably opened early 19th century.

Dalziel & McFarlane position in churchyard, it was a substantial obelisk but has been vandalised.
