I'm also looking for my gggrand father Edward Norton according to Canada 1861 census he was born in Canada parents foreign my mother always told me he came from Ireland ? He was born abt 1833 married Ursule Lucie Labatte in Penetanguishne Ontario august 27th 1855 on the marriage transcript he declares living in Michigan USA. In 1861 they had a son Joseph James Henry. In 1872 Ursule died and the transcript states that he was a mariner living in the USA.
